Dr Timothy Smith
General Practitioner

DR Timothy Smith attained the degree M.B.,Ch.B. at the University of Stellenbosch in 1983, with  Distinction. He moved to Australia in 2005 and in 2008 attained a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, with Specialist registration.

DR Timothy Smith, as he is known locally, has been a GP for more than 30 years and feels he ended up in paradise on the Sunny Coast. He loves all aspects of General Practice with a special interest in anxiety/depression, kids and Mens Health.

Dr Joe De Jager
General Practitioner

Dr Joe De Jager was born and trained in South Africa attaining the degree MB.,Ch.B with distinction at the University of Stellenbosch, Capetown in 1983. He has 27 years GP experience and moved to Coolum Beach with his family in 2005. He loves all aspects of General Practice and is an avid saltwater fly fisherman.

Dr. Joe, as he is known locally, has been a GP for more than 30 years and feels he ended up in paradise on the Sunny Coast. He loves all aspects of General Practice with a special interest in anxiety/depression, kids and Mens Health.

Dr. Poshitha De Silva
Specialist Pain Medicine Physician

Dr Poshi De Silva is an Australian trained pain medicine physician. He is dual-qualified in Pain Medicine and General Practice. He obtained his MBBS degree in 2005. Having completed his General Practice fellowship in 2018, he has undergone further specialty training in Pain Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital and Gold Coast Health Service and was awarded fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2022.

Dr De Silva does private practice at Brisbane Private Hospital, Sunnybank Private Hospital and Coolum Beach Health Centre in addition to his public engagement as a consultant in Pain Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital pain clinic.

Dr De Silva has experience in occupational medicine and injury management. He is a member of several professional associations including Spinal Interventional Society, European Pain Federation, Australian Pain Society and International Association of the Study of Pain (IASP). He also holds an academic title with University of Queensland as a senior lecturer.

Dr De Silva believes in holistic integrated patient care and utilises multidisciplinary, multimodal and interventional approaches for management of pain. His special interest areas include management of low back pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia and persistent post surgical pain.

Dr. Satish Kharia
General Practitioner

Dr Satish graduated from University in 2005 in India and two years later immigrated to Australia. He completed his Masters of Public Health from Deakin University, Melbourne. He worked at the Toowoomba Base Hospital from 2010 to 2014 whilst working compulsory term placements. He has enjoyed working in General Practice since 2014. Dr Satish has had extensive experience with rural and regional General Practice work which has up-skilled his medical knowledge in Australia extensively.

Dr Satish has also obtained a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney in 2015 to assist him with his special interest in pediatric and childhood health issues. He enjoys minor skin procedures, routine skin checks and has a Primary Care Skin Cancer Certificate. Dr Satish enjoys all aspects of General Practice along with chronic disease management and all facets of preventative healthcare. Outside of work Dr Satish enjoys spending time with his family, playing cricket and relaxing outdoors.

Dr Ashraf Saleh
General Practitioner

Dr Ashraf Saleh (Dr Ash) grew up in Sydney and completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2007 after having done a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science and a Master’s degree in Nutritional Science at Sydney University.

Dr Ash served in the Royal Australian Navy from 2005-2012 and completed his General Practice training in 2013, having previously worked in Toowoomba, Goondiwindi and Oakey. He then completed a Fellowship in Advanced Rural General Practice in 2014 with a focus in emergency medicine. 

He is a peer reviewer for the Australian Journal of General Practice from 2017, a member of the RACGP National Faculty of Specific Interests (Diabetes) from 2015, and a committee member of the RACGP Type 2 Diabetes Management Guidelines Working Group from 2016. He has published multiple scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals in medicine and nutritional science. 

His special interests include diabetes management, skin cancer medicine, metabolic disease and weight loss treatments, orthopedics, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and men’s health.

Chris Ingram
Podiatrist

Chris grew up on the Sunshine Coast and studied at the Queensland University of Technology, graduating as a podiatrist in 1994. He completed a research master’s degree in 2012. He currently works from rooms in Coolum Beach and Maroochydore. Special Interest areas Chris enjoys all areas of podiatry and, in particular, he enjoys treating chronic foot pain, orthotic therapy and muscular-skeletal injuries.
